Susan has been a lifelong Cubs fan and resident of Oswego. She graduated in 1993 with her BS in Athletic Training from Elmhurst College and then graduated from Midwestern University in 1999 with her Master’s in Physical Therapy. She has professional interest and experience in sports medicine, orthopedics, and geriatric physical therapy. In the Spring of 2008 she became a manually certified PT. She enjoys spending time with her patients and helping each of them on their path to wellness. She is married and has 3 sons. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, watching TV and hanging out with family and friends.



Strain Q: Do I get to choose my physical therapist? A: Yes! You have the right. Just as you would choose your doctor, based on word-of-mouth from friends or family, you can choose your physical therapist. Once decided on West Physical Therapy, PC, it is your option to select your personal physical therapist from any of those in our group. The therapist you choose will manage the great majority of your care. Your therapist will meet with you and direct you in your care and determine if other practitioner's input may also assist you in your healing. Back Q: What should I wear for physical therapy treatment? A: You should wear comfortable workout clothes and shoes that you will be able to move freely in. It is important that you wear loose-fitting clothing to enable the therapist to examine and treat the injured area. Please bring shorts if you have a lower extremity injury or a spine condition. Bring or wear any sport- or work-specific shoes. beginner’s running class All attempts are made to accommodate the needs of our patients. We understand the need for flexibility and will adjust our hours depending on your need. West Physical Therapy Please bring the doctor's prescription for physical therapy and your insurance card. Bring your date book for scheduling of future appointments. Plan on spending 45 to 90 minutes at our facility. Remember to wear comfortable clothing. Bring any operative reports, diagnositic test (x-rays, MRIs, etc.) or protocols given to you by your doctor. A: Physical therapists provide health care services to individuals who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes. Physical therapists assist people in attaining their physical goals and controlling symptoms. Physical therapists are professionally educated at the college or university level and are required to be licensed in the state in which they practice. Julie West PT Sports Deep Soft Tissue: This is ideal for those who like deep soft tissue work. A combination of techniques is used to relieve soreness and restrictions found in the muscles. This massage tends to relieve the deeper muscle tissues, as the pressure is more intense. A: Expect each visit to last at least one hour. Treatment in some cases and conditions may last up to 2 hours.
