Born and raised in Chicago, Suzanne is currently working in both the Sugar Grove and Geneva offices. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiotherapy with a minor in psychology. For the past 14 years, Suzanne has worked as a kinesiotherapist with a variety of patients. She specializes in “hands-on” therapy and is a certified soft tissue specialist in myofascial and active release therapy techniques, as well as therapeutic massage.

A: You should wear comfortable workout clothes and shoes that you will be able to move freely in. It is important that you wear loose-fitting clothing to enable the therapist to examine and treat the injured area. Please bring shorts if you have a lower extremity injury or a spine condition. Bring or wear any sport- or work-specific shoes. A light soothing touch with gradual increasing intensity is combined with vibration to reduce stress, muscle tension, and improve circulation. This massage promotes a state of deep relaxation and helps reduce any pain or stiffness. Wrist Deep Tissue Massage: This is an ideal massage for those who are familiar with massage. A combination of techniques is used to relieve stress-related points found in the muscles and tendons. This massage tends to relieve the deeper muscle tissues, as the pressure is more intense. Meniscus Q: What types of treatment may I receive? A: Treatment is determined by your physical therapist with regards to your physician's prescription. All of our treatment sessions are individually tailored to each person and at each visit. You may receive joint mobilizations, specialized manual therapy techniques including soft tissue mobilization, active release, myofascial release, mobilizations with movement, muscle-energy, cranial-sacral, trigger point, strain/counterstrain techniques, therapeutic exercise in many forms and progressions, structured home exercise plans, and education. You may also receive modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, interferential stimulation, infrared, light therapy, cold, heat, and various forms of these.
