West Physical Therapy Lymphatic Drainage Massage: This gentle massage is to help decrease swelling in the tissues from toxins or trauma. This massage is a good all over relaxation massage with the benefit of improving the effectiveness of the lymphatic system and improving health. Foot Q: How long do treatments take? A: Expect each visit to last at least one hour. Treatment in some cases and conditions may last up to 2 hours. Doctors Q: What should I wear for physical therapy treatment? A: You should wear comfortable workout clothes and shoes that you will be able to move freely in. It is important that you wear loose-fitting clothing to enable the therapist to examine and treat the injured area. Please bring shorts if you have a lower extremity injury or a spine condition. In the state of Illinois, physical therapists may evaluate a patient; however, a written diagnosis from a physician is needed in order to treat a condition.
